A few months ago, I wrote a treatise on house shoes — the kinds of beautiful, silk-tassled and pom-pom-ed pairs that wouldn’t look out of place at a 16th century slumber party. But it’s winter now, my concrete floors are cold as ice and I’m yearning for something fuzzy and comforting.
